Back by popular demand, a weekend (11th-12th June) of outdoor shenanigans to raise funds for a very worthy charity. Venue will be Doonlaughan. Same as last year folks, this will be a donation based event open to all, Kayakers, non Kayakers, kids and anyone who just wants to go for the craic. Activities will be organised to keep you all amused. Here at McHales we are delighted to be involved 2years in a row...Amen Support Services Ltd. is a voluntary group, a support and information service for male victims of domestic abuse. Thousands of men and supportive members of their families have contacted the helpline since it was set up.
Galway Fest kayaking festival is one of the largest whitewater kayaking festivals in Ireland taking place on the 5th & 6th of March. Theres a two day festival with a whitewater time trial, team race and a freestyle event on the second day. This year will be the fifth edition of Galway Fest and it is set to be the biggest yet with numerous international paddlers traveling to the west of Ireland to compete. Each year they have had over a hundred competitors and expect this year to be the biggest year by far! We are fortunate to have our events on dam released rivers so we can be guaranteed to have water for the festival, a rarity in Ireland. Here at McHale we are delighted to announce that we are the main sponsors for the Kayaking Intervarsities 2016.
This event is taking place on the 5th-7th of Feburary.
We have a pop up shop running that weekend, you can find us Friday at the Castlebar swimming pool from 8am-6pm.
And we will also be down in Lough Lannagh Village on the Sunday from Early till Late. We have reduced prices for some item that weekend.. Come have a look.
